Kenzie Meyers
Realtor
My mornings typically start out fairly similar each day; with an extra-large cup of joe and my boxer, Theodore, running around like a crazy man, filling the room with his contagious energy. Then I head to our beautiful Coldwell Banker office downtown Cannon Falls. At my desk, I have a somewhat odd photo. It is a photo taken in 1998 of a large, outdated, fifth wheel camper parked in Kenyon, MN.
That camper was one of my parent’s first homes when I was a newborn. They were young, broke, and starting with nothing but big dreams. Fast forward a few decades later and they both run successful businesses in Cannon Falls and just built their dream home a few years ago. Blue-collar professions. No big inheritances. No crazy luck. Simply 24 years of long hours, hard work and a little faith.
So, I keep that photo on my desk to remind me of my mission as a Realtor: To Help People Build Wealth Through Real Estate. I believe in the American Dream. I believe with the right people in your corner, anyone can achieve the dream of homeownership. Homes provide families with a space to gather and create memories, but they also help families build generations of wealth. Homeownership has the capacity to change the family tree. My hope with each client is that we form a life-long relationship. I hope to be your real estate expert from your first home to your dream home.
I was born and raised in Cannon Falls, MN. If you are from here, you might know a Meyers or two. Most of my family has made this little slice of heaven their home. I graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 2016 and headed to Winona State University to pursue a degree in nursing. Well, turns out...a nursing student that faints at the sight of blood doesn’t make it very far. Three degree changes later, I graduated with my B.S. in Finance in 2019. What I knew for certain after graduation: I want to help everyday people achieve financial freedom.
I started my career in the insurance industry. Instead of helping people find their home, I was helping them protect it. My background in insurance policy, claims and service has helped me time and time again to better serve my clients in the buying and selling process. Something I have learned, no matter what business you work in, the same basic concept always applies: “your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment” - Bob Burg. I am a life-long learner and always strive to bring more value to my clients. I truly cannot think of a better way to bring value to my clients than to join Kathy Anderson as The Home Finder Team. Kathy brings 20+ years of real estate experience and a truly unmatched level of service.
When I first started in real estate, I was introduced to an organization called Homes for Heroes. I felt very drawn to the organization’s purpose and decided it needed to be a part of my business. Homes for Heroes was established in Minnesota after 9-11 as a way to say thank you and give back to our Heroes. A Hero is an individual in law enforcement, firefighters/EMTs, teachers, healthcare professionals and military. As an affiliate, we give back a part of our commissions to Heroes in the form of a check when they buy or sell a home. Every person has a significant role in society, but Heroes are sacrificing more than just 40 hours a week of their time. They run into a burning home while everyone else is running out. They are the ray of sunshine for the child that does not want to go home after school. They are holding the hands of a sick patient in their last days. They are deployed while we enjoy our Christmas dinner in safety. They are the first on the scene to the worst day of someone’s life. These people go the extra mile and Homes for Heroes is a small way to show our appreciation to these Heroes.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy running the Cannon Valley Trail, a competitive game of euchre, exploring new coffee shops and weekend side by side trips with family. I also enjoy being involved in the Cannon Falls community as an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Education Foundation. Thank you for taking the time to read this bio and learn a little about me. I hope we have the opportunity to connect, learn about you and discuss your housing goals.
Have the best day ever.
